Mint

The basic workflow

Six steps from idea to running business.

MINT is built around one path: the person who understands how the business works builds the tool that runs it. Here is every step, and what you get at each one.

Before you start

Every step works two ways: blocks or AI.

Each step below can be done with the visual builders, or by asking your AI assistant — and you can mix the two. Everything ends up in the same visual editor.

Path A

Build with blocks

Click it together with the visual builders — every step previewed, drafted, then published.

Model builderFields, links, formulas
Page builderTables, forms, detail pages
Sidebar builderSections, icons, access
Dashboard builderNumbers, charts, lists

Path B

Let AI build it

Describe it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor. It plans with you, then builds with the same checks.

A shop backend: products with categories, orders with line items, and a total that adds itself up.

Built 4 models

Product → Category

Order → Customer

Line item → Order, Product

total = Σ line items

One visual editor for your data

Start a project

A project is a workspace: its own data, pages, sidebar, dashboard and API. Make an app for the work your team does every day, an API for your own app, or a website for the people you serve. Start from a ready-made template and change whatever you like — or start blank and build your own.

  • Templates: a CRM, finance, inventory, a booking API, an online shop, a blog and more
  • A few questions fill the template in — models, pages, dashboard and sample records arrive built
  • Everything in it is yours to edit; or skip templates and start from scratch
  • Each project is separate — people only see the ones they’re given

Describe your data

Name a thing your business keeps track of and list what you know about it. Every model you save becomes a real table, a form, filters and a page per record — immediately, with nothing to deploy.

  • Text, numbers, dates, options, images, files, colours, passwords and more
  • Link models together — a booking points at its guest and its room
  • Formulas that calculate themselves: total = nights × room.rate
  • Or describe it in a sentence and let AI draft the fields

Shape every page

Choose the columns people see, the filters they reach for, how forms are laid out and what a record’s page shows. Work in a draft, check the preview, then publish — your team never sees a half-finished change.

  • Form sections, and fields that only appear when they apply
  • Detail pages with tabs for everything linked to a record
  • Filters, bulk edits, import and export on every table
  • Drafts and publishing, with every version kept

Bring in your team

Invite people by email. Their role decides what they can do — view, add, edit, delete, build — and their projects decide where. Narrowing someone’s access is as simple as giving them fewer projects.

  • Plain-language roles with standard permissions
  • Everyone, or just the projects they work on
  • Two-step sign-in with passkeys or email codes
  • Belong to several organizations and switch in a click
05 Every day

Run the business

This is where your team lives. Search and filter, edit many rows at once, see the numbers that matter on the home page, and know who changed what — with an undo when someone gets it wrong.

  • A dashboard of numbers, charts and recent records you arrange
  • Full history on every record: who, what, when — and undo
  • Notifications when something comes in from your site
  • Archive instead of delete; merge duplicates safely
06 When you’re ready

Go live

Generate endpoints for any model — or make your own — and call them from your website, your mobile app or your server. Let customers create accounts with a drop-in widget on your own site and see only their own records. Count visits without cookies.

  • Endpoints per model, at any address, with who may call them and rules on their records
  • Paging, sorting, search and filters, with a live tester
  • Customer accounts with a ready widget or your own form
  • Cookie-free analytics for your website

After launch

The business changes. So does the app — the same afternoon.

Going live isn’t the end of the workflow; it’s the start of a loop. Every change goes through a draft and a preview, so improving the tool never breaks the work.

01

Notice

Someone on the team needs a new field, a filter, a report.

02

Draft

Change the model or the page in a draft — or ask your AI to. The live app is untouched.

03

Preview

See the table, form and page exactly as your team will.

04

Publish

One click. Every version is kept, so you can go back.
